
Marketing Campaign Design
The Detective by Matthew Reilly
As the Lead Designer for this campaign at Pan Macmillan Australia, I played a key role in designing high-impact marketing assets for the launch of Matthew Reilly's The Detective, ensuring strong brand consistency across all channels. My responsibilities spanned various platforms, from creating impactful print advertising like a Good Weekend Magazine Quiz Sponsorship (including a 1/3 page horizontal ad and a co-branded Instagram tile) and designing eye-catching static lightwall graphics for high-traffic shopping centres (with a strategic second burst during the peak Christmas period), to developing dynamic digital content. A highlight was the collaborative animated cover reveal for social media. I sourced and manipulated royalty-free footage with a duotone filter to echo the book's bold red and yellow palette, meticulously timing the final video, which featured a 3D packshot, to a powerful soundtrack. This asset garnered over 2,000 likes and was approved by the author, a No. 1 Netflix film director, and company executives. Furthermore, I designed exclusive bespoke bookmarks for QBD Books that incorporated the final cover illustration and a QR code for a partnered giveaway.
