I created a dynamic cover reveal animation for Matthew Reilly's The Detective. Working closely with the marketing and publishing teams, I sourced and manipulated royalty-free footage to reflect the book’s core themes. Using a duotone filter in After Effects, I created a visual style that echoed the bold red and yellow color palette of the book’s cover. The final video, which included a 3D turning packshot, was meticulously timed to the powerful rhythm of a Johnny Cash track, creating a highly impactful and suspenseful experience. This collaborative project successfully garnered over 2,000 likes across Instagram and Facebook, and all assets were approved by the author, a No. 1 Netflix film director, as well as the company director and the heads of publicity and marketing.
